To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister, pursuant to recommendation seven of the Delivering a 21st Century High Street report, to outline what consideration has been given to appointing a lead Minister to champion Smart High Streets.

Answer:

The scope of the 14 recommendations span the responsibilities of a number of departments. On October 10th, we wrote to Ministerial colleagues at the Departments for Communities, Economy, Finance and Infrastructure asking them to consider the recommendations and determine the way forward, bringing matters to the Executive for consideration as necessary.
