Question:
To ask the Minister of Health when he expects to bring legislation to the Assembly in relation to minimum unit pricing for alcohol.

Answer:

It is my intention to bring the proposals for Minimum Unit Pricing to the Executive in the very near future. Subject to Executive agreement, I aim to progress the development of the required legislation and to bring to the Assembly within the current mandate. Given the competing primary legislation demands on Assembly time, I anticipate this will be considered by the Assembly in the final year of the mandate.
