Question:
To ask the Minister of Education how he will ensure there are pathways available for all young people to facilitate education to age 18.

Answer:

In line with the Independent Review of Education recommendation, and subject to Executive agreement, I intend to legislate to ensure that all children remain in education or training until they are 18 years old.

To ensure appropriate pathways for all young people there will be engagement with a range of relevant stakeholders on the further development of proposals and given the links with Further and High Education, this will include the Minister for the Economy.
