To ask the Minister of Finance whether there is a requirement to consider the requirements of each Department to enable a change of use to meet wider Executive priorities, such as Housing, as part of her review of the Civil Service office estate.

Answer:

The policy for identifying a ‘public need’ for surplus public sector assets prior to selling these on the open market is well established through the ‘Disposal of Surplus Public Sector Property in Northern Ireland (November 2018)’ process.
