Question:
To ask the Minister of Health (i) whether the roll-out and training of Maggie’s Call has been completed; and (ii) whether it is now fully operational.

Answer:

The roll-out and training of Maggie’s Call has not been completed; however, it is fully operational in Carnlough. Further roll-out has been halted following a legal challenge from the Fire Brigade’s Union.

Both NIFRS and NIAS remain committed to progressing this joint emergency medical response initiative; however, discussion at the National Joint Committee (NJC) is seen as the most appropriate mechanism to enable progress to be made.
