Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail (i) the reasons why the Education Authority ended its contract with Fujitsu for the development of a new school management system; and (ii) the anticipated impact this decision will have on the implementation and progress of the new school management system.

Answer:

The Education Authority and Fujitsu mutually agreed not to continue with the Strategic Partner element of the Strategic Partner / Schools Management System Contract.

The Authority will continue the development of the new School Management System with implementation to begin this academic year.
