To ask the Minister for Communities for an update on any discussions he has had with the Minister for the Economy on the recommendations for short-term lets and Airbnbs.

Answer:

As part of the work to finalise the Housing Supply Strategy, I met with the Minister for the Economy on 11 November to discuss the need for further collaboration on actions to address key issues for which DfE has a remit.

The issue of short-term lets/Airbnb’s was one of the issues raised, which may be considered as part of any future strategy implementation process.
