Question:
To ask the Minister of Health how his Department will work with the Department for Infrastructure and the Department for Communities to involve the knowledge and expertise of public health professionals in plans to address the climate emergency.

Answer:

The Executive’s overarching strategic framework for Public Health, Making Life Better (MLB), recognises that health and wellbeing is influenced by many factors, including the wider physical environment. Though the MLB and other mechanisms, my Department will work with other Departments, including DfI, DfC and DAERA, on issues related to environmental health and the impact of climate change.
