Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities whether his Department has considered any homelessness projections for the next ten years if Northern Ireland continues to not meet demand for social and affordable housing.

Answer:

There are no future projections for Homelessness presentations or acceptances. The circumstances of each household are considered on a case by case basis by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive to determine eligibility for housing assistance in line with the relevant legislation.

Homelessness statistics are published regularly by my Department (See Housing statistics | Department for Communities). There has been minimal change in the numbers of Homelessness presentations and acceptances over recent years.
