Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister for an update on a renewed Race Relations (Northern Ireland) Order 1997.

Answer:

Following an extensive 12-week consultation on the Review of the Race Relations Order, a report on the feedback and responses was published on 5 August 2024.

Our officials are working to bring policy changes to the Executive with the intention of presenting them to the Assembly in the coming year.

This will move us a step closer to providing the best possible legal protection against discrimination.
