Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities, further to the October Monitoring Round, to detail any remaining financial pressures related to homelessness as set out in Departmental Management Board Minutes of 4 September 2024.

Answer:

DoF provided an additional Non-Ring-Fenced Resource allocation of £11.3m as part of October Monitoring. £6.7m was allocated to prevent the risk of homelessness service closures, to ensure that statutory obligations can continue to be met and to meet inescapable salary and administrative costs related to NIHE service delivery.

DoF has commissioned the January Monitoring Round exercise with final returns due on the 3 January 2025 and my Department is currently working through the process to determine the most up to date financial position.
