Question:
To ask the Minister of Education for an update on the 19 Current Development Proposals, including when decisions on each will be taken.

Answer:

There are currently 21 Development Proposals (DPs) with my Department for consideration. Eleven of these are awaiting my decision, two discontinuance proposals are being held due to forthcoming proposals for Transformation and the other eight are being progressed by my officials.

As I am sure you will be aware, the assessment of any DP is a complex process and requires consideration of all the evidence to ensure decisions are taken in the best interests of all children and to ensure they have access to high quality education that is viable and sustainable in the long term.

I am unable to provide a precise timeframe as to when decisions will be taken.
