To ask the Minister for Communities to detail any actions he is taking to introduce a Disability Confidence Scheme to encourage inclusive employment, similar to what is provided in Great Britain.

Answer:

My department’s draft Disability and Work Strategy contains an action, under a theme of ‘Supporting and Enabling Employers’, to explore a scheme for employers that grows their awareness of disability employment, and supports and enables implementation of best practice in relation to the recruitment and employment of disabled people.
