Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail the criteria that will be used to assess a school's eligibility for funding for (i) outdoor covered sports spaces for primary schools; and (ii) synthetic pitches and sports halls for post-primary schools.

Answer:

The application process for both the pilot project to provide outdoor covered sports spaces for 20 primary schools and the programme for synthetic pitches and sports halls in the post-primary sector, will be launched by my department in the coming weeks.

The criteria for eligibility for funding for both projects will be included within the application process.
