Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for an update on progress with the Department's adoption of the roads and footpaths in Loughshore Manor, Newtownabbey.

Answer:

Loughshore Manor is under construction and will be offered for adoption by the developer in accordance with the provisions contained within the Private Streets (NI) Order 1980.

It remains the responsibility and the intention of the developer to achieve adoption. Under the Order, the Department has enforcement powers if a developer fails with these obligations. At present there are no indications that the developer intends to default on these responsibilities.

My Department continues to monitor the development, offering advice and guidance when required.
