Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail any assessment his Department can make of the impact of traffic congestion in Belfast city centre on the local economy.

Answer:

While no formal assessment has been made of the economic impact, I have been in touch with the Minister for Infrastructure to discuss the matter and am fully supportive of his efforts to work with local businesses and their representative bodies on this issue.

I and my officials continue to keep the situation under review, in liaison with relevant business and policy stakeholders.
