Question:
To ask the Minister of Education (i) when the impact of the pilot Pre-School Education Inclusion Support Fund will be reviewed; and (ii) when a decision will be taken on whether or not to extend the provision of this fund.

Answer:

The Pre-school Education Inclusion Support Fund (PSEISF) launched on 26 November 2024. An evaluation of the impact of the pilot to date will be carried out in Term 3 of this year.

This Fund is one of the initiatives funded from the Early Learning & Childcare (ELC) package of measures in 2024/25. A decision on the extension of the Fund will be taken when my department receives confirmation of the funding position for the ELC Strategy for 2025/26.
