Question:
To ask the Minister of Education who is responsible for the line management of school principals.

Answer:

Principals are the lead professionals in their schools and they are responsible for leading and directing the work of all staff employed in the school.

Principals report to their respective Board of Governors. The Education Authority (EA) is the employing authority for all controlled schools and the Council for Catholic Maintained School (CCMS) is the employing authority for all Catholic maintained schools.
