Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for his assessment of the impact of the Park with us in Mind scheme.

Answer:

My Department is collaborating with Belfast City Council and the PSNI on the “Park with us in Mind” scheme, currently in the initial stages of a 18-month pilot. Following Council leafleting and Traffic Attendant enforcement, the report from Belfast City Council indicates a reduction in the numbers of complaints and missed bin collections.

My Department has also been advised, through feedback from our enforcement contract supplier, that a reduction in the amount of poorly parked vehicles has been observed by Traffic Attendants when conducting their enforcement activities.
