Question:
To ask the Minister of Education whether preschool places in Balnamill Little Learners for 2025-26 will be impacted by the recent decision to close Balnamore Primary School.

Answer:

The Education Authority (EA) has responsibility for allocating funded pre-school education places to non-statutory pre-school providers participating in the Pre-School Education Programme (PSEP) and has confirmed that Balnamill Little Learners is not and has never been a participant in the PSEP.

The EA has confirmed that sufficient PSEP funded pre-school places are available within the area to provide a funded pre-school place for every target aged child whose parents want it.
