To ask the Minister of Education to detail the definition of inclusive education used within his Department.

Answer:

As a member of the European Agency for Special Education and Inclusion since 1996, the department has subscribed to an agreed definition of inclusive education systems as those within which ‘all learners of any age are provided with meaningful, high-quality educational opportunities in their local community, alongside their friends and peers.’
