Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities to outline what support his Department has made available to charities and community groups in North Down during winter 2024-2025.

Answer:

My Department provides financial support to a number of charities and community organisations in the North Down constituency, however this funding is provided on an annual basis and is not specific to the winter period.

Within the North Down constituency, funding of approximately £513,000 was provided to Voluntary & Community organisation projects in the 2024/2025 financial year.

In addition, £31.6k was allocated to Ards & North Down Borough Council through the Department’s Community Festivals Fund, which provides grants to community-based festivals.
