Question:
To ask the Minister of Education whether costs have been modelled for the introduction of a subsidy scheme for childcare providers to support with staff salaries.

Answer:

The Department for the Economy (DfE) is leading a scoping exercise to develop a clearer picture of the business support requirements of the childcare sector and help inform the appropriate government response. The cost pressures faced by providers, including those related to staff salaries will be considered as part of this work.
