To ask the Minister of Finance, pursuant to AQW 14771/22-27, to detail the stakeholders that received a copy of the James Hutton Institute’s draft report into the future of the Mourne Mountains.

Answer:

A draft of the James Hutton Institute’s report was made available to stakeholders attending a workshop with my officials at the Tollymore National Outdoor Centre in March 2023 to enable discussion of the main emerging themes from the research.

The stakeholders in attendance at this event were: the National Trust, NI Water, DAERA, Sport NI, the Mournes Heritage Trust, Ulster Farmers Union and Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.
