Question: To ask the Minister for Communities to detail any preparatory steps his Department has undertaken in relation to the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill.
Answer:
My officials have provided the Home Office with all the necessary support and guidance it requires regarding the element of the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill relating to liquor licensing and the disclosure of plans of premises. The Public Record Office of Northern Ireland already has a range of security measures in place. This includes: the presence of security guards during opening hours; an array of CCTV cameras providing external and internal coverage and staff areas that are only accessible using access control cards. Members of the public are required to provide photographic id to use the research areas.
