Question:
To ask the Minister of Education whether he is considering increasing the bursary available to those undertaking the Doctorate in Educational, Child and Adolescent Psychology.

Answer:

Since 2006 the Department of Education has funded student places on the Doctorate in Educational, Child and Adolescent Psychology (DECAP) course. The course is provided by Queen’s University Belfast, and it is funded through an approved three-year business case.

Department officials are currently finalising the business case for the 2025/26 to 2027/28 period. This business case will consider a range of options for the delivery of the course, including the bursary level.
