Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities to detail any engagement his Department has had with Libraries NI to explore partnerships with environmental organisations to deliver green initiatives in library spaces.

Answer:

Libraries NI is a member of my Department’s Climate Change working group, which is made up of members from across the Department and a number of our Arm’s Length Bodies (ALBs). This Group was formed in recognition of the wide range of skills and business areas that need to come together to share resources, knowledge, and skills on environmental issues. The group promotes partnership working towards climate-change initiatives not only across the Northern Ireland Civil Service but also with our partner environmental organisations in the wider community.
