Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail (i) who has been commissioned to carry out the independent review of Tourist Accommodation, as referenced in the Tourism Vision and Action Plan: 10 Year Plan; (ii) when the review is expected to be complete; and (iii) whether a report will be published.

Answer:

(i) Following a tender process, Team Enterprise & Management Ltd (TEAM) was appointed to carry out the independent review of Visitor Accommodation.

(ii) The assessment is expected to be completed by spring 2025.

(iii) The full assessment will contain commercially sensitive information from across the sector including visitor accommodation providers. For that reason, the report will not be published in its entirety but my Department will consider in due course what elements can be published to provide the evidence base behind any future announcement of new policy in this area.
