To ask the Minister for Communities whether his Department has considered reviewing the current Pension Credit paper application to make the application process succinct and more accessible for older people.

Answer:

My Department reviews the Pension Credit application form (PC1) annually and it is next due for review in February 2025. This is to ensure the application form provides the Department with the customer information needed to accurately establish eligibility.

The Department offers a range of channels for those wishing to make a Pension Credit application including online, by telephone or post. Anyone requiring assistance to complete a Pension Credit application can contact my Department’s Make the Call service for assistance.
