Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities whether his Department will provide any financial assistance to Ards and North Down Borough Council for repairs to Bangor Aurora Aquatic and Leisure Complex for damage which occurred during Storm Éowyn.

Answer:

In response to Storm Éowyn, I activated and extended the scope of the Non-flooding Scheme of Emergency Financial Assistance (SEFA) to provide financial assistance to councils.

I have ring-fenced funding of up to £1m for outreach services, delivered in partnership with councils and the community and voluntary sector, to ensure the right supports are in place in the right way for those most in need.

The costs of repairs to buildings are not eligible for funding under this scheme.
