Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister to detail any request they have made of NIE Networks to provide a compensation scheme for those impacted by Storm Éowyn.

Answer:

We are acutely aware of the significant impact on the thousands of people who were without power as a result of Storm Éowyn.

We met with the Managing Director from Northern Ireland Electricity Networks (NIE) on Saturday 25 January and again at the Executive meeting on Monday (27 January) and have urged him to consider how his organisation could provide a good will payment to support families and businesses impacted by the effects of Storm Éowyn.
