To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail the number of recipients of Education Maintenance Allowance in the last five years, broken down by constituency.

Answer:

Responsibility for the administration of Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA), including the assessment of eligibility and payment of support, has been delegated to the Student Loans Company (SLC). As such, information on recipients is held by the SLC rather than by my Department. The SLC does not currently hold an analysis of EMA recipients broken down by constituency.
