Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for his assessment of the efficacy of current sea defences located on Portstewart's promenade.

Answer:

My Department does not have any sea defences associated with Portstewart promenade. A retaining wall separates the upper and lower promenade; however, this structure is designed to support the carriageway and not as coastal flooding protection.
