Question:
To ask the Minister of Health to detail the number reports of spiking recorded in each of the last five years, broken down by Emergency Department in the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust.

Answer:

Unfortunately, the Trust is unable to confirm the number of patients who have attended ED as a result of “spiking”. This information is not routinely recorded and the cost of providing this information, which would require a manual trawl through hundreds of patient’s notes, could only be completed at a disproportionate cost.
