Question: To ask the Minister for Communities whether there will be a review of the existing housing points allocated to Housing Selection Scheme applicants after 31 March 2025, as any applications after this date will not be able to compete with those that had intimidation points applied.
Answer:
Following 31 March 2025 all applications will be assessed using the same criteria. Transitional arrangements will be in place for only those who already have intimidation points or whose application is in train until such times as they are re-housed or refuse two reasonable offers. Further changes to the Housing Selection Scheme are planned as part of the ongoing Fundamental Review of Social Housing Allocations. Two implementation stages remain which will now include a review of Primary Social Needs criteria and points.
