Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail the bids made for the Draft Budget 2025-26 which relate to (i) supporting childcare businesses; and (ii) delivering quality, affordable childcare for families.

Answer:

The draft Executive Budget 2025-26 contains an allocation of £50m for proposals brought forward by the Early Years and Childcare Task and Finish Group. Any future bids to provide business support to childcare providers will be informed by the market research currently being undertaken.
