Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail the number of speech and language therapists needed to deliver the commitment to the development of a Speech, Language and Communications Intervention Programme which will target 10,000 children over the next three academic years.

Answer:

Work is ongoing between my officials and Health colleagues to develop the operational detail of joint Health/Education initiatives within the Special Educational Needs (SEN) Reform Delivery Plan.
