Question:
To ask the Minister of Health whether the 20 per cent increase in student maintenance loans from 2025-26, recently announced by the Minister for the Economy, will have any impact on the support available to students on Allied Health Professional courses funded by his Department.

Answer:

I am currently exploring with my officials possible future changes to the financial support provided to students on all pre-registration healthcare programmes, including AHPs, commissioned by my Department. Any changes will not come into effect before the 2025/26 academic year.
