To ask the Minister for the Economy, pursuant to AQW 21711/22-27, whether she has been briefed by officials about the scope and approach of the review.

Answer:

In my response to AQW 21711/22-27 on 7th February 2025 I outlined that officials were currently engaging with the sector as regards to the potential scope and approach to the Review of Higher Education Funding. The engagement meetings with the sector concluded on 18th February 2025 when officials met with NUS-USI.

As the sector engagement meetings have now concluded, officials are working on briefing which I expect to receive imminently.
