Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure, pursuant to AQW 14634/22-27, for an update on the progress of the formal procurement competition.

Answer:

The procurement process commenced on the scheme on 12 December 2024 with the advertisement of the prequalification phase. Applications from interested contractors have been received and are currently being assessed.

The tender phase is scheduled to commence in May 2025 with award anticipated in February 2026, subject to final business case approval and the outcome of departmental budget settlements.

The scheme is expected to commence on site in March 2026, with a 3 year construction period, completing in Spring 2029.
