Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy for an update on the implementation and development of the £150 million investment zone.

Answer:

My officials continue to work closely with the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) to co-design the North’s £150m Enhanced Investment Zone programme. The development of the Programme must follow an MHCLG pre-agreed staged approval process, the target for final approval is Autumn 2025. Key to securing approval at each stage is clear demonstration that Investment Zone funding will drive productivity and leverage significant private sector funding. During March my Department will be hosting regional workshops for further engagement with the private sector and other stakeholders.
