Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy (i) for her assessment of the impact of the cuts to the budget for Queen's University Belfast; and (ii) how these cuts will impact on the ability of the Executive to support greater investment in research and development.

Answer:

All Departmental budgets are under huge pressure. Therefore, areas across my Department have been asked to assess the impact of a reduction in their baseline budget. The budget remains in draft form until conclusion of the equality impact assessment.
