To ask the Minister for Communities to detail how the 2025-26 draft budget allocation for Resource DEL for languages of £8.5 million is intended to be spent, including a percentage breakdown of the intended spend on (i) Irish; (ii) Ulster-Scots; (iii) Sign Language; and (iv) other languages.

Answer:

All funding requirements will be considered against statutory commitments and ministerial priorities within the final budget settlement. All budget decisions will be subject to equality assessment.
