Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether the sum of £15 million, awarded for the Urban Drainage pilot project, matches the amount her Department bid for.

Answer:

In September 2024, my officials submitted a proposal to the interim Public Sector Transformation Board to fund a pilot project to demonstrate how urban drainage could be transformed by managing rainwater on the surface in a more natural way. The proposal was scalable up to approximately £30m. The £15m allocation will enable a viable pilot project to be implemented over the next 4 years.
