Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail the location of the Urban Drainage pilot project, for which the Minister of Finance announced the allocation of £15 million of funding in his statement to the Assembly on 4 March 2025.

Answer:

The locations for interventions as part of this Urban Drainage pilot project have not yet been finalised. My officials are currently exploring opportunities to deliver the pilot project within the Living With Water in Belfast Plan area, and a specific catchment may be selected as the focus of this work.

This does not preclude the inclusion of other areas where suitable nature-based interventions are identified, particularly those that may effectively demonstrate the benefits of nature-based drainage solutions.
