Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail any consideration her Department has given, in the interests of active travel and safe travel for children from Ballymacrickett Primary School, to installing footways at Glen Road, Glenavy, between Glenavy village and Ballymacrickett Primary School.

Answer:
My department is currently updating its active travel design guidance in response to the recent public consultation on the Active Travel Delivery Plan. This work includes the development of a route assessment framework for Active Travel schemes which will place greater emphasis on encouraging modal shift, taking into account the population being served, the places it will connect to, and the level of improvement between the existing and proposed provision.
Officials will reassess this route once the framework has been fully developed and implemented.
