To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail the pavement resurfacing work that has been completed in Hillsborough in the last ten years.

Answer:

My Department has been operating in a difficult financial environment for a number of years and this has had a significant impact on its ability to deliver essential services such as road maintenance.

There are many roads that would undoubtedly benefit from investment, including those in Hillsborough, however, due to a limited budget, resurfacing work must be taken forward through the prioritisation of those deemed most in need of intervention.

Details of resurfacing work carried out in Hillsborough is provided in the Department’s Annual Reports to Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council. These reports can be viewed on the Department’s website www.infrastructure-ni.gov.uk/publications .
