Question:
To ask the Minister of Health to detail the current number of children awaiting paediatric percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy surgery.

Answer:

As of 14th November 2025, 7 children are waiting for paediatric Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy Surgery. Of these 7 patients waiting:

2 patients have dates booked for surgery before the end of November;

3 patients are booked for surgery in December;

BHSCT have advised that the they are aiming to book the 2 further children for surgery in January.

A further 10 children are currently medically or socially suspended on the waiting list.
