Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail any engagement she has had with the Minister for Communities on the development of the disability employment strategy.

Answer:

My officials have worked with colleagues in the Department for Communities (DfC) throughout the development and co-design of the Disability and Work Strategy, formally known as the Disability Employment Strategy.

My department has ownership of approximately one third of the draft actions and commitments currently contained within the Strategy, under the theme of ‘Inclusive Skills, Careers, and Educational Transitions’.

My officials will continue their close working relationship with DfC colleagues throughout the ongoing development, approval, and implementation of the Strategy.

I look forward to engaging with Minister Lyons and Executive colleagues upon receipt of the final draft.
