Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail the key benchmarks that will be used to measure the success of the TransformED NI strategy, including whether these will be aligned with international standards for educational excellence.

Answer:

A detailed implementation plan to support the TransformED NI strategy will be published in Spring 2025 identifying lead organisations and delivery mechanisms, as well as funding requirements.

Embedding a culture of monitoring, evaluation and quality assurance will be woven through all aspects of implementation. Following publication of the implementation plan, the Department will report at key milestones notably through an Annual Progress Report.

Integral to success will be consistent improvement in pupil attainment and we will consider appropriate system measures and targets, including international standards for educational excellence, as we take forward work on curriculum and qualifications review, Key Stage assessment and literacy and numeracy.
